north

north is a TOTP authenticator hyper-focused on simplicity of use. Give it a bunch of otpauth:// URLs and it will show you the codes when you click on it in your Linux/Windows/macOS system tray, allowing you to copy codes into the clipboard with two clicks.

Packages

Regular releases are sporadic. git master should be stable enough.

Building

Build dependencies: CMake, pkg-config, icoutils (Windows)
Runtime dependencies: Qt 6 >= 6.9, Qt 6 SVG

$ git clone https://git.janouch.name/p/north.git
$ cd north
$ cmake -B build -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug
$ cd build
$ make

To install the applications, you can do either the usual:

# make install

Or you can try telling CMake to make a package for you. For Debian it is:

$ cpack -G DEB
# dpkg -i north-*.deb
